THE LANGUAGE OF BIRDS

The arrival of the swallows in the sleepy courtyard signals the return of spring. Their cries echo through the hamlet, ricocheting off the walls of the slumbering buildings. April sings far away in the valley, carried by the choirs of wild birds. Suddenly, a nest made up of a multitude of browns appears in the hollow of a hedge, punctuated by eggshells of multiple blue-greens. The bird flies across the surface of the fabric, casting its shadow like a light pattern.

At the junction of two paths, a pheasant flies past, unfurling its majestic feathers in a cameo of browns with purplish and golden reflections. The feathers are transformed into infinite landscapes, where colors travel as if in a miniature world. Plumage patterns are deposited on cotton veils, whose softness and lightness evoke the fine dress of a bird. Ikat and shibori interpret feathers and all their subtleties in their own way.
