THE WEAVERS

The weavers of West Bengal are the guardians of a rich craft heritage. They work with care and precision to create unique fabrics. They use traditional wooden looms and techniques handed down from generation to generation. Every thread, every pattern, every embroidery tells a story rooted in local culture. This region inspires us through its artisans, who celebrate the richness of Indian culture.

DIP-DYE/OVER-DYE

Dip-dye is a manual technique in which fabric is dipped in a dye bath to create a unique gradient. Over-dyeing, on the other hand, involves dyeing a fabric by soaking it in a color bath to over-dye its base, adding extra depth and complexity to the patterns.

MADRAS

Madras is an emblematic fabric, a blend of silk and cotton, characterized by its bright colors and check patterns. This fabric is the result of a complex artisanal process in which the fibers are prepared, soaked, oiled and washed under the sun before being dyed with vegetable dyes.

IKAT

Ikat is a complex, ancestral technique involving the knotting, dyeing, unravelling and weaving of threads to create unique patterns. Each piece is a testimony to India's meticulous craftsmanship and rich textile tradition.
