THE JEWELLER
She wore necklaces made of rare wooden beads and finely carved stones from local quarries. Their preciousness arose from the simple and harmonious interplay of nature's colors. A mineral brown mingled with a Mars red. A violet amethyst conversed with the blue-gray of an agate. People came from afar to buy her jeweled scarves, her dazzling and magical adornments. It was even said that she spoke to the stones and gave them the power to make the heart live for eternity.
SUPERNATURE
Around her, the greens of Amazon and Palm blended in a lush landscape, punctuated by Venus fuchsia and Pearl pink. One summer evening, fireflies swirled through the tall grass by the blue river. The blue ink spread across the damp paper, creating an abstract pattern, like a shibori from another world.
THE DATE
She waited for him, seated on a bench with peeling celadon paint. On the table set for the occasion, covered with a slightly old-fashioned checkered tablecloth, a bouquet of red tulips cast its shadow. The rays of the setting sun filtered through a glass of sparkling red Spritz. The rendezvous was set for the blue hour, when the sky dons its most beautiful indigo cloak, when the village lights begin to melt, on the horizon, into a bath of midnight blue. On a piece of aged white paper, she wrote him a few words and signed with her initials: MM.
